How to use Metering.ai?
No dev work required. Upload usage logs → define billing rules visually → connect Stripe → activate auto-sync. Everything runs serverlessly—Metering.ai handles validation, deduplication, time-window alignment, and idempotent syncing to Stripe.
How secure is my data?
Your data never leaves your control. Metering.ai processes usage in-memory during sync and retains zero persistent copies. All connections use Stripe OAuth (no API key storage), and all traffic is encrypted end-to-end. SOC 2 compliance is in progress.
Can I use my usage metrics from Amplitude/Mixpanel/Segment?
Absolutely. Export your event data as CSV—or use our prebuilt connectors (available in beta). We normalize timestamps, identifiers, and units so your billing logic stays consistent across sources.
Why do I need to give Metering.ai access to Stripe?
We only request read-only access to your Stripe products, prices, subscriptions, and customers—required to match usage to correct billing contexts. We never charge, refund, or modify subscriptions. You retain full control.
What formulas are supported?
Full Excel-compatible syntax: arithmetic, logical (`IF`, `AND`, `OR`), statistical (`AVERAGE`, `COUNT`), date/time (`TODAY`, `HOUR`, `MONTH`), text (`CONCAT`, `SUBSTITUTE`), and advanced functions like `XLOOKUP` and array formulas. Real-time preview ensures accuracy before syncing.
